Building Self-Reliance and Self-Esteem for the Vision Impaired since 2012!

Welcome to Vision Impaired foundation!

As a non-profit 501c3, we have developed three programs to enhance the quality of life of all VIPs (Vision Impaired People).

VIP-Assist

Through  our 1st Program, our USB-driven software VIP-Assist provides hands-on, convenient, portable online access to eBooks, social media, shopping and surfing the web and brings it into the VIP's everyday life.  Imagine reading a book while it is still a best seller, sharing a book with your child, or even taking college courses for a degree!

VIP-Assist works on any PC with a USB port, and can be used at home, on a public computer, or at other libraries.  A comprehensive contextual User’s Guide enables the VIP to learn at his or her own pace.  If you can listen, you can learn!

If necessary, our certified instructors are available to assist every student. Learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That's why most of our instructors have achieved a certification in tutoring VIPs (Vision Impaired People). Our tutors are passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their lessons.

Outreach to Schools for Students with Learning Disabilities

This is our 2nd Program. VIPs are not the only ones who benefit from using VIP-Assist.  The built in screen reader benefits students and veterans and others with learning disabilities.  Many cannot read well but comprehend best by listening.

Outreach to Libraries, Lions' Clubs and Other Civic Organizations

This is our 3rd Program.  Getting the VIP-Assist software to those who need it the most is a never-ending task.  Ideally, civic organizations can help by donating funds so that the software and training can be provided at no cost to more VIPs, learning-disabled students, and veterans.

There are many ways that you can help!

We are proud and humbled to offer our services to the VIPs.  However, we cannot do it without the help of others who feel as passionately about providing help to an often overlooked and disenfranchised group.

Seeing the look of joy when a VIP reads a book for perhaps the first time since losing their vision, or sharing a book with a child they have never seen… this helps create a bond that can never be taken away.

Your donation helps us provide VIP-Assist to individuals at little or no cost to them.  That was our main aim in developing this software – to help those who are already challenged to ‘see’ a better world!

Help make a difference with your tax deductible donation today!
