Vision Impaired Foundation is a 501c3 trust registered with the IRS as a charitable foundation. Our main aim is to provide more effective methods of providing information and educational materials to vision-impaired people (VIPs) in an way that supports self-reliance and builds self-esteem; our programs also create awareness of people with disadvantages, while offering empowering solutions to benefit both VIPs and others. Our three programs are:
1. VIP-Assist: the development, production and distribution of screen-reading software
2. Outreach to Students with Learning Disabilities, primarily in schools
The founder of the VIF, Amy Adams, has struggled with visual acuity all her life. As an IT professional, this makes her a natural fit for helping other VIPs to gain better access to the world of email, research, and internet learning. She has been developing the VIP-Assist screen-reading software since 2009, with a particular focus on making VIP-Assist more freely available to VIPs everywhere. The VIF makes it that much easier to fund and distribute this life-changing technology.

Our goal is to supply VIP-Assist to all those who need it, for free where possible. Can you help? Click here to donate – and remember, it’s tax-deductible. Thank you!
